Lenticular face, designed back

The same car, printed as three 15 × 10 cm lenticular postcards for 550 Spyder fans — small collector’s pieces rather than souvenirs. One card per effect, so a set shows what the medium does instead of describing it. Every card is printed on both sides: the lenticular face, and a designed back you can still write on.

A postcard is held in the hand and turned, rather than walked past on a wall, so these are interlaced horizontally rather than vertically: the effect runs top to bottom, not left to right.

Move up and down a card to work the lens — and

Back of the Flip postcard

Flip2 images

Two photographs in one card. One tilt and the whole scene changes — while the car itself does not.

550 Spyder postcard: eight phases of the same car receding down a country road
Back of the Motion postcard

Motion8 images

Eight phases of one movement, which zooms the car in and out and gives you the illusion of motion.

3DDepth

The subject separated from its background, in real depth. Like looking into a parallel universe.

Bespoke, on a wall

Two commissions, in real depth and at wall size — 85 × 120 cm and 100 × 100 cm. Move across them, or open one full screen. Each was made once, for one client, and is not currently for sale — they are here to show what a one-off at this scale looks like. Yours would start the same way: with your car, your place, your moment.

Brown Porsche 911 GT3 RS on the hairpin below the abandoned Hotel Belvedere on the Furka Pass
Furka Pass, Switzerland · 85 × 120 cm911 GT3 RS at the Belvedere

Four planes to separate: the tyre marks on the road, the car, the hotel, and the range behind it. The building is what makes it work — it gives the eye something to hold still while the rest opens up.

A long run of garages going away to a point is the hardest thing to build in depth and the most rewarding: walk past it and the pit lane opens up down the side of the car.

How a project runs
  1. 01

    Brief and feasibility

We look at the source material, what the piece is for — merchandise people will hold, or a wall they will walk past — and the distance it will be seen from. Several variables decide the effect and the lens pitch.

  2. 02

    Capture or supply

We shoot it, or we work from your files. A Living Print™ might need more than one frame: phases of a movement, layers of depth, or two separate images.

  3. 03

    Interlacing and proof

The phases are interlaced into a single image, the lens pitch is chosen for the format, and you see a physical proof before anything is produced at scale.

  4. 04

    Production, finishing, delivery

The run is produced, mounted and finished, then delivered — or installed, for large format.

The studio behind it

Living Prints™ are made by Viewkraft®, an imagery studio specialised in advanced imagery: 360° and gigapixel photography, hologram displays and lenticular prints. Living Prints is where that work becomes something you can hang on a wall.

Start a project

Tell us what the piece is for, roughly how many, and what you already have — photographs, renders, footage. A rough idea is enough to start.
